These people were blessed to have a father like Hugo Chávez; we are the sons and daughters of Chávez. We have the moral right, because of everything we have fought for and resisted, to call all Venezuelans to unity.”
Bingo. Maduro is straight-out saying that the Chavistas owe their legitimacy to revolutionary struggle and patriotic virtue, not to the electoral process. “Dialogue and understanding” are tools to make everyone understand why they are right.
