90% there, that’s the English vowel-dropping ‘drawl’ seeping in- it’s the accent of a New York capital prince who attended prep school in London proper, and was taught to emulate both sides of the pond in his teens. Take a kid of a similar pedigree and raise him in MA/CT prep schools without the London experience but with all of Daddy’s friends in the most elite East Coast social circles, and you have the famed Hyannis Port accent of JFK. JFK is basically Mr. Howell from Gilligan’s Island mixed with Toll Booth Willie.
