It’s not just airlines, the courts have been very soft on businesses for a very long time. If I paid for a service and didn’t get it, I shouldn’t have to fight an army of corporate lawyers for months or years to get a refund.
I don’t get how anyone thought it was OK for there to be a contract without considerations. If I pay someone and get nothing in return, that’s not a valid contract. I should not only immediately get my money back, but I should get access to the full force of law enforcement if they insist on stealing my money. Funny how I, as an ordinary citizen, don’t get the benefit of a police raids, SWAT team, warrants for arrest, etc. when I am wrong by a corporation.
It’s almost like the system wasn’t made for me…
