Okay, so I wandered out to the shed and the brand is Ferrex, which appears to be an Aldi store brand. It looks like it was supposed to retail for $35 back in '19, so we may have gotten lucky and gotten it on clearance price.
Thank you so much! I am delighted to find out that this may be an option for me. Right on.
My leaf blower / vacuum has the same choppy action for mulching leaves which I use as ground cover to protect my garlic over winter.
I also use it because with my gammy neck-back-shoulder-combo raking can be difficult for me.
Wait for a dry day with a favorable wind, open the garage door, and dust & sweep the whole building in three minutes.
That’s a really good point. Like most posters here, I hate the incessant noise when my neighbors use leaf blowers, but I didn’t even think how I was being ableist to just assume everyone has the option of using the quieter but more labor intensive option.
Still no power so now we have generators (including mine) and leaf blowers cleaning up all the debris.
It’s sounds great around here today.
In three tests involving gas powered leaf blowers and battery powered leaf blowers, Diane [a grandmother in her late 50s] cleaned the areas using rakes or brooms faster than any of the battery powered blowers and almost as fast as the gas powered leaf blowers and she did a better job in cleaning up the areas.
No. I just haven’t found a way to smuggle one past the ticket attendants. Yet.
That was in 1998. I’m sure I could beat her today. I mean, she’d be almost 80.
For many jobs, brooms and rakes are actually FASTER. Our neighbor takes 20 min. to blow his small deck. Each leaf gets its own individual itinerary. We’re done in a fraction of the time.
But at least he can’t hear you laughing at him.
