I have the barest, vaguest memories of the commercials. I remember the little song, but not the “grow a disturbing crop of fuzz” feature. Or the toy inside.
I had a tiger-shaped Soap on a Rope when I was a little nipper. I think my mom bought it from the Avon Lady. I was very reluctant to start using it because it a cute tiger, but eventually it did its duty.
