Gil Scott-Heron explains "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"

Eugene is full of great pearls of wisdom…

“No body learn no nothing from no history…”

I also like this one…

'Cause I’ve seen ship of fools
Sinking in the dunes
As I dragged my coffin on the rope
Them all look down at me
But I got all the help I need
'Cause the last one, last one goes the hope
Last one, last one goes the hope

One more!!!

We gonna build new kind of globalizer
Without a Panzerfaust or a Schmeisser
And may the sound of our contaminated beat
Sweep all the Nazi purists off their feet

I am a big fan of Hutz and Gogol Bordello!

His interviews are full of insights. Lucid. Funny. Perceptive. Graceful.
He has his mental shit together in interviews in a way that may not come across when he is in stage performer mode, when he’s running a kind of raucous enlightened bacchanal+peptalk+circus+danceparty.

Thanks for posting.

ETA: clarification re what I meant by his stage persona
