I don’t understand why this item is called “duct tape” and not “duck tape”. That was its original name (because it was made from cotton duck fabric). And, though it’s known for having many uses, we’re told it isn’t appropriate for sealing ductwork.
Odder still is that a company managed to trademark the name “duck tape”.
