I’m gravitating to Wordpress as a package solution. I’ve worked with it as a CMS, and it is indeed a bit of a nightmare. But the platform-locked service managed by Automattic doesn’t require me to muck about with its innards and maintain them. I have a domain name and blog name picked out and I’m pretty much ready to go at this point.
Ghost.io and Jekyll that @anon68287401 mentioned both sound like they might be worth moving to in the future, but for now I’m not looking to spend a great deal of time coding. Again, I’m rusty and I just don’t have the time. I’d rather spend that time on content creation.
I’ve used Blogger in the past, but I’ve just not been enthusiastic about it.
