It’s not more true than alien abductions, but comparing the two and saying they all need to shed belief in their deity to be fit for public office is just completely unhelpful and a irreligious test is no better than a religious test for office.

If you read what I said, I didn’t say that at all. I said that anyone who uses that as a justification for policy is unfit for office. If someone talks to god about their personal journey, that’s totally fine. If they bring it up as a justification for policies that affect everyone, that is dangerous madness.
