Guess why the Sultan of Brunei changed his mind about his gay death penalty

It’s worth noting that what the sultan has done is impose a moratorium on the death penalty (in fact, apparently on all death sentences). Which means that at any point he or a successor could, with the wave a hand, reverse that moratorium.

Kind of like, oh I don’t know, an executive order? I’m so glad that couldn’t happen here.
