Most old pirate films and westerns include scenes from dance halls, bawdy houses, bordellos or whatever. I don’t think that acceptance of them in historical fiction equates acceptance of prostitution or sexual slavery in real life. Personally, I cannot see where unforced prostitution is any of my business.
