Yeah, someone in my pod tested positive this week & I was unable to find free tests anywhere. Medicare patients no longer qualify for the pop-up neighborhood testing sites in my city. Walgreens pharmacy is supposed to give out free tests to medicare patients but when I went in there, after some confusion, they had me fill out a form & said “if I qualify” I could pick up next day (which means again standing in line while I may be contagious). The library’s free test kit program is all out. Even my primary care provider was ignorant of the USPS free mailing delay. It’s especially unfortunate as COVID numbers are going up everywhere. All I wanna do is test today & stay safe for other people. Why should that be so hard?
