If you leave a pair of Crocs in a hot car, they shrink and stiffen. I have a pair of flat Crocs with a stiffer core set inside the heel. It feels like a stiffer rubber than the rest of the shoe. I don’t know if the Crocs factory is leaving the inserts locked in a hot car for a couple of days, but it does feel similar.
