If you’re trying to reduce your exposure to chemicals, especially for household use, you should look at steam mops for cleaning floors. I’ve been using one for a few years now, and it’s managed to clean up some stains which were stubborn.
Pros: they disinfect quickly, you (usually) don’t need to use soap/detergent/chemicals, the floor dries very quickly;
Cons: you need to use distilled water (otherwise you’ll destroy the mop’s steam tank in a few months).
