Well, from Wikipedia it seems like these commercials happened in the 1950s, so around 300 years after coffee took over Europe and who knows how many centuries after it was discovered in Ethiopia and spread through the Ottoman empire, so I don’t think Juan is entirely to blame for caffeine taking over the world.
