I honeslty can’t remember, clearly it was something Star Wars related, the “Defunding Planned Parenthood” + “Star Wars” both in the same sentence caught my attention right away, I live in Illinois, the governor wants to defund the clinics here so yeah, it peaked my interested

It was the first recommendation in the little articles sliding section, since it was the first i figured it was the common people’s entertainment that pushed it up so far and there would be more common people in the platform but clearly that isn’t the case

She’s pointing out illogical points in a fake story that is only meant to entertain. Not provide insight or parody into today’s political climate.

I think it says a lot about public attitudes toward reproductive health care that more people didn’t immediately notice that glaring plot hole.

If Anakin turned to the Dark Side because he had a premonition that Padme was going to die of an inflamed appendix then every theatergoer would immediately react with “What?? Are we seriously supposed to believe that’s a major risk in a society with advanced medical science?” But “dying in childbirth” seems like a totally legit fear and “total ignorance of a condition that should have been known from the very first prenatal checkup” doesn’t even get an explanation.

Palpatine could have been manipulating Padmé’s mind the entire time, he knew they were married and no one even told him, how he found out is another plot hole,

He’s Anakin’s confidant, he’s a politician whose home planet is the place that they got married, and he can foresee the future.

I’m all for pointing out plot holes in Star Wars films and books, but that part actually makes sense.

Even if Anakin had stayed at the temple like he was told to do so Palpatine would have out matched Windu, he was full of shit when he said he was too weak (he bested Yoda after all) and then he would have called Order 66, Windu simply didn’t trust Anakin, its all plot people, all of it

While I agree that the whole point of that scene was to get Anakin to commit to turning to the Dark Side (and was planned by Palpatine specifically for that effect), Windu was nearly 800 years younger than Yoda, four feet taller, and was generally noted as an expert in lightsaber combat. I have no trouble believing that Windu could have won that fight (especially since Palpatine was defeated, in the end, by a one-handed, half-dead, wheezing cyborg).
