Jane Kirkpatrick routinely lectures that virgin means “a woman of independent means”, not someone who never had sex. Virgin can also mean maiden (young woman), and a virgin birth is surprising as young women at the time rarely went into puberty before 16-17. So we know she was young, and we know she was an independent woman, as was her mother (a virgin mother from a virgin mother). This whole thing is silly.
