Two observations:
- if he’d added some food dye to the solution in the spoon you’d have been able to see it as it reacted with the other solution in the bowl to create the bombs.
- I suspect the first panko bomb broke in the oil because the water inside the bladder heated to boiling then burst through the membrane.
