Is that really her? Seems more like it might be a modern mix.
I’ve seen Zardoz at least twice… i think it’s actually 3. Though it has been years… i keep meaning to inflict its awfulness upon my brothers. Though i have shown the trailer to them before, it’s really something to behold.
Reminds me of The Children’s Hour which aired on Sunday mornings on KXAS in Fort Worth. Similarly, the host’s name was Bill and he read the funnies. The sidekick was a local kid who was lucky enough to be selected that week. I am pretty sure they taped it in advance, so I guess they got an early copy of the funnies. They also showed Jot cartoons and (IIRC) Davey and Goliath. (This was preceded by The Carpenter’s Children, which a local church produced, and followed by Oral Roberts which at one time had Krofft puppets in the cast.)
Sticks? It was Tiger for me. I think she brought out some paternal, protective instincts in my little self.
And, I would, if it was on one of the three streaming services I use. But that pretty well kills my entertainment budget, so bummer.
You take that back!
Then make them watch The Final Program, and totally blow their minds. Those two movies back-to-back are the nes plus ultra of weaponised 1970s weird.
It’s definitely awful. I still love it though.
A creepy kids’ show with a human host…
I’m sure it’s a Photoshop job. There’s no way the bigwigs at NBC would have allowed that as a publicity shot for a family show in 1964.
Read it on an official CBS site, referencing an interview with Roddenberry. You’re right- It was the pilot, not this particular scene.
Wilma’s white costume was a large reason for the infatuation.
For your consideration JoAnna Cameron
