I’ve noticed that young American White men are particularly guilty of viewing cooking in any form beyond the very basic as being somehow emasculating (with a bonus degree of emasculation if it involves vegetables)

Unless it involves an outdoor grill or being paid money to do the job professionally. Then, it very much IS considered a man’s job.
