You know what? This one has “enough” cores for what I do. Is it as fast as the i7 in my 2016 MBP? No but as per my original comment, the difference between the 2011 i7 and the 2018 i7 isn’t enough on its own to make me want/need a new desktop.
I have a G4 Cube that still works and a 15" G4 PowerBook that still works as well. The Cube is up in storage and the PowerBook is hooked up to my turntables for digitizing vinyl. Theres other PPC Macs in the attic that might work, not sure. I’m pretty sure the Motorola PowerBook in the attic does not work any more but I might try and power it on just to find out.
