I had a job once where I hand-soldered surface-mount components onto tiny circuit boards for a defense contractor’s missile guidance systems, eight hours a day under a stereo microscope. You wouldn’t want very high magnification for that job because the parts are just tiny - not microscopic.
I ended up building a headrest for it, because bowing my head in front of it all day had my neck and back killing me after awhile.
