My standard is coffee. Most apps cost less than a cup of coffee at their bakery, much less at their Starbucks. And then an app which entertains for a couple of hours or saves them a hour of research or tinkering isn’t worth that much?
The mind boggles.
And I still enjoy tinkering. It’s perfectly possible with to tinker, but I do it for stuff that’s so niche that no one else will do it for me. Or just for fun. But I’m so glad that I don’t have to, that i just pop open the new AirPods or ThermoPeanuts and have them connect to my phone “magically”.
