Plus Brooks has a long standing relationship with both Legendary Pictures (which recently optioned his sasquatch book) and with Jack Black who he pretty much shared the role of class clown with in high school. Jack has been close with the Brooks family for quite a long time with even Anne Bancroft mentoring him in school when she had a presence there advocating for the school to better help out with Max’s dyslexia.
So yeah, it might be likely that it might end up being an adaptation of Max’s book series.
