I just had my first colonoscopy two weeks ago. They really downplayed how long the sedation (Fentanyl) was going to be, to the point that I didn’t realize that it would be such an ordeal. After I “woke up”, my wife thought that I was just my normal self. It took her about 20 minutes to realize that I wasn’t really conscious and she’d be baby sitting me for the next 8 hours. It would have been nice to know that, but it’s a minor quibble for extending my health and life.
