Well, Boehner retired in 2015, before the asshole in the Supreme Court suddenly did us all a favour and died (I know, I know, speak no ill of the dead, but Scalia was an asshole), and 2016 was just one long awful stretch that cumulated in a fucking nightmare.
Boehner packing his things and going home was supposed to be a sign of the assholes in retreat, not the levees breaking.
