It’s not all of them; but there’s also the distinct sub-genre who hammer on “western”(sometimes ‘occidental’ if they are feeling really insufferable) because their keen commitment to ‘racial realism’, the impending ‘clash of civilizations’ must not be misunderstood to apply to whatever flavor of orientalist fantasy waifu they imagine to be most appealing.
In more specifically techie reactionaries there’s also another fault line between the ones that are either wealthier or more intensely fixated on local culture wars; who tend to be somewhere from ‘reasonably chill’ to ‘disconcertingly enthusiastic’ about the Indian subcontinent, surely a place that feels strongly about muslims and has an intriguing ethnic hierarchy must have some good ideas, yes; and the more insecure and/or slighly less culture war obsessed ones who view the subcontinent as a sort of hyper-mexico; coming to take their jobs specifically; rather than “our jobs” in the vague handwavy way that people talk about jobs they absolutely don’t want to be stuck doing.
