My initial comment was a reaction/observation where Trump was invoked. It just seemed a bit lazy and trite. Just like people who blame anythign bad happening on Obama (see “Thanks, Obama!”) While I agree his election has some effect, I think we shouldn’t put too much weight on it because he is the result of the underlying disease. Things won’t magically get better in 4 years (or sooner if impeached).
And my most recent comment was after considering things over the day.
My points and observations don’t always stay static. My initial comment can “walk around” a bit as time does on. A good discussion should have thoughts that move around and try different angles some times. I don’t always do that, but some times some thought and reflection on a discussion will lead to something new. Which is a good thing, as otherwise there is no discussion, it is just people posting talking points with nothing changing.
