It seems that sharks don’t require a whole lot of food. The secret behind keeping them from eating all the other fish in a big aquarium tank is to give them enough stuff to eat at shark-feeding time so they don’t become peckish and start looking for a snack between meals.
The sloth is probably safe, particularly as it is unlikely to have watched Jaws and so isn’t pre-traumatised as far as sharks are concerned.
