Look, Star Wars is HORRIBLE on tactics and strategy for the most part. Just go along with it. IMO they got even sloppier in the prequels and sequels, especially with like prop design.
Two examples are the Clone Wars trooper rifles were designed with digital cut and paste, and you end up with what used to be a scope looking then now at the bottom for some reason. and the old X-Wings had a traditional turbine look - which they kept - but then split in half for the updated design. I realize they aren’t REALLY turbines, but it still bothers me with the look.
