The only imagery I should be subjected to when going about my business in public is the corporate advertising on posters and signs and billboards and buses and giant TV screens and occasionally written across the sky.

Exactly this. In a world where my attention and focus is constantly being stolen by someone trying to sell me something, street art is a blessing, even the stuff that doesn’t scratch any of my itches.
