Man awarded $450,000 after his office threw an unwanted birthday party that gave him a panic attack

I still work for a company that does that; however, due to our size and the fact that we never close*, we have multiple events that an employee can choose from to match their schedule. They used to rent out one of the big water parks every year, until the pandemic hit and essentially killed the water parks dead. :frowning:

This year’s selections were one of two baseball games, or one of two dates for Medieval Times, a dinner theater chain that does pretty much what it says on the tin.

While I’ll celebrate my mother’s birthday (and she’ll celebrate mine) we have a mutual accord of ‘we do not tell the restaurant we are going to that it’s for a birthday’, lest we get serenaded.
