With the Scots, maybe. Curling? Check. Gàidhealtachd? Check. Accent? Check (surprisingly enough, although you have to go way up in the Highlands to hear the softer accent that became Canadian - methinks the Clearances had something to do with it). Spelling? For the most part, check.
