Yeah, Iām thinking mom walking in on you doing it with their wedding video on would be infinitely more horrifying than getting caught with an apple pie or a piece of liver.
China didnāt give a fuck. Theyād bodyslam an American if he or she were going to mess up the place. But otherwise, they donāt care about us. Whatever they can get, they can do it via the Interwebs. They are hyper-focused on their own citizens. There are large, prominent roadway cameras on all the highways, and an overwhelming police presence at all times in the cities.
There was a protest outside the Nanjing Massacre monument while we were inside. It was over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands. Probably 200 protesters gathered, chanting, and there was a little fighting. No guns, only fists and rocks and signs, all āangry at Japan.ā Thousands and thousands of blue, white and black-shirted police showed up. When we left the monument, we had to walk through it all. We were nervous. But the police were joking with us and nobody was giving us a hard time. We still wanted to get the fuck outta there though.
