Something I found that helped me a lot was Mechjeb. It’s an addon that automates a bunch of things. In sandbox mode, all the modules are available right away. In career mode, they open up as you open the tech tree. I found just using that gave me a starting place to learn some of the concepts more. I’m nowhere near as advanced as the guy who did the video, but I’m slowly dropping probes on everything.
