Microsoft contractors listened to Xbox audio recordings of children in their homes, to improve voice command

Dude, are you triggering a moral panic about moral panics?! I’m triggered! Now we’ve got a moral panic about moral panics about moral panics! It is moral panics all the way down!

you’re putting a game console in your home, not an alexa. kinect ( what the heck are these spellings? ) has camera so should we be okay if it’s filming our living rooms and sharing that with whomever?

heck, my mac has a camera and a microphone. i get creeped out by it, but i also have an expectation of privacy.

why should a video game console be different?

Wow what a fail article, hysteria about nothing

Huh? Have the Computer check the spectrum. Do discard all recordings with mostly high frequencies.

That’s certainly doable. It has been done by accident, when male developers wrote voice command interpretation unintentionally in a way that excluded women, who, on average have higher voices.

Yeah, I know, but didn’t feel a need to go that low in example.

Just think of the children!
