Yah, opening RTFs in Notepadd++ works but is ugly. I can stand the ugly, but I worry about messing up the formatting and breaking the file.
I did find a “user-defined language” file for RTF. Seems to work. Doesn’t show the graphics, but it does let me collapse (or fold?) the massive ASCII-fied chunks that graphics are encoded as.
I’ve just started looking into Obsidian. Stores files locally as simple text files.
Hopefully some smarty will make a how-to, in case it’s more complicated than copying the saved version. Here’s what a quick search turned up:
