House Speaker Mike Johnson, who delivered opening remarks during the ceremony, described the women as "giants on whose shoulders all of those astronauts actually stood at a time … when our nation was divided by color and often by gender."

Thank goodness that our nation is no longer divided by race or gender, amirite?

It’s good that these women are being recognized for their amazing work but damn, it’s frustrating that Mike Johnson of all people is giving this kind of speech.
