the connection from Ross via the Bank of Cyprus to the Russian oligarch Vekselberg (an important shareholder of the bank) are rather transparent.
but does anyone know the relationship between the oligarch and the Russian government? kind of murky, on the one hand Vekselberg is said to have close ties to the Kremlin, on the other hand some of his close associates were arrested on corruption charges
