I think that “injuries inconsistent with life” (sometimes ‘incompatible with living’ is a term of art rather than a content munging defect.
Exact standards vary by jurisdiction; but it covers any of a variety of injuries so obviously lethal that a paramedic or other first responder can make the determination on the spot that attempts at supportive care are futile and need not be performed.
