Let’s be honest here. In the US you get at least twice as long a sentence for drug possession with intent to distribute than you do for first degree murder. Because preventing the proles from having fun is a more important than properly punishing someone for killing another human. (ie - 20 yrs for drugs mandatory minimum, 5-10 judge’s discretion for murder.)
