Unless you’re from Venezuela, Iran, or Russia, I think you can count on your government to bend over and ship you to the US at the slightest hint of a request (probably accompanied by the threat of trade blocks or whatever) if the US government thinks you’re a nuisance. Just ask Richard O’Dwyer and Julian Assange.
