That’s pretty $!$#ed up.
I seriously think we need some universal “YOU LOSE YOUR JOB AND GO TO JAIL FOR THIS, NO EXCEPTIONS” rules for cops. You know, just to keep the honest ones honest. Like how about, just, for instance: If you arrest somebody for a crime that doesn’t exist in order to silence or punish somebody for accusing you or another officer of physical or sexual abuse misconduct, even if that accusation is without merit, you lose your job and go to jail.
