The sexist socialization that makes people, especially women (IVF and adoption are almost always wife-driven) so desperate to have children is an underlying factor here.
In your linked article, there seems to be someone who knew while still pregnant that there was a mix-up and it wasn’t hers, so once the baby was born she handed it over to the biological parents. Was she forced to stay pregnant because it would have been illegal for her to abort someone else’s property?
The legal issues are so ridiculously complex, but they do rely on sexism from start to finish.

Yes, I googled on the epicenter, not the crack. I assume those white dots near the plane are the parts of the fuselage that broke off; I wonder how long they just let that sit there.
This wreak would obviously be off limits to hobbyists, but I knew a few folks in Las Vegas who would make a weekend out of going out in the desert to locate old documented crash sites.
Of course my totally serious theory is that it is actually an enemy craft built by the hollow earth aliens or lizard people of death valley, & the crack was an attempt at recovery of their advanced military technology. ;-p
