I do recall a small beach at the base of one of the pyramids. Alas, I did not engage in shenanigans and joined no club (nor had I even packed swim trunks).

The tour guide on the bus ride there and back sure told some tall tales.

IANAP either, but as I read it, it was more like they used a simulation of a quantum computer to look at what it would look like if you could pull this off in real life. No reversal of causation of anything, and no visiting dinosaurs (damn!)
