"OK Boomer" comes to the NZ Parliament and makes all the right people angry

Yep. I would like to think that “OK Boomer” refers to the mindset of growing up in an anomalous period of national prosperity right before the shit hit the fan, but then I go on Tumblr and read kids talking about how their grandparents are Boomers (or sometimes GenX):

Boomers are younger than my parents, who are both still alive.

By that metric, I suppose GenX is anyone who was too young to vote for Reagan/Carter but old enough to vote for Bush Jr/Gore. Similarly, anyone who was under 22 when Friends was on the air.

Millennials would be anyone too young to vote for Bush Jr/Gore but old enough to vote for Trump/Clinton. In other words, someone whose coming of age/young adulthood is defined by the Obama Administration. Or, someone who was still in their teens when Girls was on the air.
