I can see putting it in a cabinet but over the hob?
You’ll get grease and steam and whatnot all over it.
Unless of course you never use the hob, in which case why not admit it and just not have one?
Or if you’re stuck with the hob, why not stick a sheet of plywood or something over it and put a normal microwave on top of that?
