If you’d like to see an actual good movie about Greek myths, you could do much worse than this adaptation of The Odyssey. Armand Assante as wily Odysseus, Isabella Rossellini as Athena, Greta Scacchi as Penelope, Geraldine Chaplin as Eurycleia, Christopher Lee as Tyresius, Vanessa Williams as Calypso, and Bernadette Peters herself as Circe! The same company tried to adapt Jason and the Argonauts the following year, but it was a mess and featured a particularly bad Hercules. Oh well!
