Looks like Pelosi announced a deal on the emergency coronavirus bill:
Yes, we have no bananas.
Thereās still a few in the last bin, just look at them!
Fourth detected Corona case in Tasmania today. All four were recent arrivals from overseas; this one flew in from the Phillipines.
Iād be surprised if they donāt close the airports soon. Tasmania tends towards xenophobia and quarantine-paranoia at the best of times [1]; there would probably be substantial public support for such a move.
[1] You canāt import seeds, animals or unworked timber into Tas without special permissions. Tassie biosecurity laws make the rest of Australia (already noteworthy for heavy-handed quarantine restrictions) look relaxed.
There are a whole bunch of bio-nasties that donāt exist here, and they like to keep it that way.
And an apple illegally immigrating over the wall.
How the heck do you stockpile bananas? Freeze them and make banana bread?
Socially distanced from those bananas which is very sensible.
Lies, damn lies, statistics, and whatever comes out of Trumpās mouth.
We even have drive through liquor stores! Get tested and wasted at the same time, the efficiency boggles the mind.
Banana chips. Dried fruit is the way to go for emergency supply.
I recommend sun dried tomatoes too. But I always love snacking on those. Not for everyone I hear.
Fuckfuckfuck. Since Tuesday, my temperature has been slowly rising. Itās now up to 99.0 F.
Plot twist: both my flu and pneumonia shots list mild fever as a side effect.
I think the same thing will happen here in my country. We had Carnaval with thousands of people partying on the streets and last tuesday a series of soccer matches were played with stadiums full of fans in several capitals.
But today the goverment of different States decided to shut down schools, universities and public offices.
I hope the panic doesnāt ensue.
Finally!! Government catches up to a sensible idea already being enacted.
I make tomato chips every summer with tomato slices, garlic powder, salt, chili pepper and parmesan cheese sprinkles and in the dehydrator. Keeps forever and really yummy.
Iāve made dried mushrooms.
In the summer when my garden is booming I run 2 pretty large dehydrators 24/7. I love dried stuff. My wife jokes that if I canāt pickle it or dry it I donāt know what to do with it.
