I have to wonder if this was a “prank” by someone who worked there, or political sabotage, because these devices could be really disruptive. Self-sabotage (especially in the guise of “a joke”) feels very much in keeping with MAGAts, though.
Hilarious that they’re so paranoid that their assumption upon hearing a beep was “secret listening device.” My assumption would be, “Some gadget somewhere has a low battery. Check the smoke detectors.”
Of course! Listening devices always beep, just like hidden cameras have little blinking lights to let you know they’re working and bombs always have little screens providing information and/or audible count-downs. It just makes sense!
